“The fact that you have been knocked down is interesting,
but the length of time you remain down is important”
Austin O’Malley
This week started off badly, with my leg blowing up again on monday’s run. I only managed 6km
The rest of the week was aimed at rehab for the leg but unfortunately I could only manage 6km again on sunday.
With my Comrades qualifier in 4 weeks, the Melbourne marathon is simply to close to be able to prepare properly for it. With much regret and disappointment my Comrades 2009 is over
I will probably not run for 2-3 months, try to get the leg right and if it gets better, Comrades 2010 remains a possibility…

Oh what?!!!! No way!!
Already over?!… No way!
Man, it’s sad to hear you’ve been having troubles.
I sincerely hope your leg gets better. Nevertheless it’s an inspiration to hear you have not given up in the ultimate human race, and although so far away, you’re considering at least the 2010!
Since you’re off the road for a few weeks, I’ll try to get myself back on the road as soon as possible so that we can run together without me dying on the process! hahaha
Take care man.
Alisa the girls and I are off to do some camping for the next 10 days! yahoo!!!!!…. I’d invite yous to come, but I know you’re a hotel/pent house boy! hahaha just kidding!
Ohh! as soon as we get back on camping, we’ll organise something for the housewarming hahaha
Anyhow, catch you later,
Daniel!
